The Cowboy Channel offers western and rodeo sports on its cable and satellite channels to more than 42 million cable and satellite subscribers. Its owned by Patrick Gottsch under the brand name Rural Media Group, which also runs its sister channel, RFD-TV.
It is a subscription-based service, and you can use it to watch sports events such as the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) by purchasing the NFR Streaming Pass. Originally known as the National Christian Network, it was launched in 1979. Eventually, it became Rural TV from 1988 through 2009, and then FamilyNet between 2009 and 2017). The Cowboy Channel
Previously known as FamilyNet, the Cowboy Channel was rebranded on 1st July 2017. It’s the world’s largest rodeo organization, abbreviated as PRCA that stands for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. This group primarily sanctions rodeo events in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. It is best known for organizing the annual NFR in the first week of December every year at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The Cowboy Channel (Canadian TV channel):
It was founded in February 2020 by Ryan Kohler through Wild TV Inc. In addition to western sports, the channel broadcasts programs related to western fashion, western music, and movies. The Cowboy Channel Canada mainly shows bull riding, reining, team roping, and barrel racing videos.
