Cowboy Plus has scheduled Final 15: NFR Standings Reveal for October 20 at 8 p.m. Eastern, giving viewers a dedicated preview of the athletes and storylines heading toward Las Vegas.
The announced broadcast is hosted by Katy Lucas and Ty McClary, with expert participation including Luke Branquinho and Colby Yates. Its focus is the field and the season behind qualification, rather than live NFR competition.
Contents
A preview before the December performances
The broadcaster says the program will include interviews and analysis. For fans who have followed only parts of the regular season, that format offers a way to connect names in a standings table with the individual athletes preparing for the finals.
Among the Las Vegas storylines highlighted in the announcement are the Wright brothers in saddle bronc riding, Noah Lee’s bull riding season and Lisa Lockhart’s continuing barrel racing career. The special is a preview; it does not determine December round results.
How to approach a standings reveal
Keep track of which information is being discussed. Qualification position, back number and projected championship chances are separate subjects. A broadcaster’s assessment of a contender is also different from a completed competition result.
If a panel makes a prediction, treat it as analysis rather than an official outcome. The useful questions are what the athlete brings into the event, which race is being discussed and what must happen during the finals for the championship picture to change.
A second screen can be helpful for checking the event names and season standings, but there is no need to memorize the entire field at once. Choose the disciplines you most enjoy and follow those conversations first.
Viewing the special and planning NFR coverage
The announced 8 p.m. Eastern start is 5 p.m. Pacific. Use Cowboy Plus’ own listing for access and any replay availability; a preview program should not be confused with a subscription entitlement for the finals themselves.
For December, our Cowboy Plus guide explains the viewing checks, and the channel guide covers television options. The NFR schedule lists the ten competition nights.
