For a first NFR visit, the best preparation is a clear sequence: know what your ticket includes, know how you will arrive, and have a return plan. The December 3–12 performances bring a busy arena evening into a city with plenty of other events competing for your time.
Contents
Before the trip: match the ticket to the experience
- Confirm the performance date and whether your purchase is a reserved seat or Access Only.
- Check the section, row and seat details where applicable.
- Open the order confirmation and understand the delivery method.
- Ask the official ticket office about specific accessible seating or companion needs before purchase.
Access Only does not reserve an arena seat. A hotel booking also does not automatically include admission to the arena or a viewing room. Use the ticket guide and seating guide to separate those decisions.
Keep support details with your order, rather than trying to locate them while standing at the entrance. If traveling with friends, decide who will hold each ticket and complete any permitted transfers before leaving accommodation.
Before leaving the hotel: phone and bag check
The organizer’s Know Before You Go page says screenshots and printed copies of mobile tickets are not accepted. Follow its current wallet instructions and charge your phone. Do not share ticket barcodes publicly.
A clear-bag policy applies. Use the current official bag guidance to check dimensions and permitted exceptions; an ordinary travel backpack should not be assumed acceptable. If you need to bring medical equipment or a diaper bag, read the specific inspection arrangements.
- Correct performance ticket available on the intended device.
- Charged phone and any permitted charging equipment.
- Bag checked against the actual venue policy.
- Required personal items, with unnecessary luggage left at accommodation.
- Meeting point agreed if the group separates.
Arrival: allow time for more than the bus ride
The official entry page currently lists 4 p.m. opening for the Cowboy Corral and Cowboy Plus Bar entrances, and 4:15 p.m. for the main entrance. Screening takes time. Treat the scheduled 5:45 p.m. arena start as the performance appointment, not the target time to reach the property.
Use the grounds map for your approach and meeting point. If parking, save the vehicle location. If using NFR Express, save the exact hotel pickup point and ask about the return loading area.
Our transportation guide covers the shuttle and parking choices. Arrange any needed accessible transport separately from the arena seating arrangement; one does not automatically establish the other.
After the performance: follow your return plan
The official NFR Express FAQ currently gives 9:45 p.m. as the final arena shuttle departure during December 3–12, subject to change. It also says the Cowboy Christmas service is one-way to the arena, with no return to the Convention Center. Plan around the actual route you used.
If staying for later entertainment, decide how you will get back after shuttle service finishes. Review the current rideshare instructions rather than assuming a driver can collect you at the entrance. Choose a meeting point where the whole group can find one another without blocking a boarding line.
For daytime plans, read the three-day itinerary and Cowboy Christmas guide. For an evening without arena seats, use the viewing-party guide and confirm room-specific admission rules.
