The annual Oakley Independence Day Rodeo will be held from June 30 – July 4 this year in Oakley, Utah at the Oakley City Rodeo Grounds. Bar T Rodeo will be hosting the event as it does every year. This year, however, Oakley plans to modify the rodeo performance to take place from July 2-4 instead of the full 5 days. The event will still be open to the public from June 30 – July 4, but with a greatly reduced capacity.
Starting next week, the rodeo will be implementing some major changes in order to keep everyone safe. One of the most noticeable changes will be the decrease in capacity – only 850 people will be allowed in per night, which is 15% of the arena’s total capacity. In addition, those 850 attendees will be required to sit in family groups, maintain social distance, and wear a bandana or mask at all times. Anyone who doesn’t comply with these safety measures will be escorted out of the arena.
