The 2022 Vegas NFR Icons program selected Trevor Brazile, Charmayne James and Ty Murray for its inaugural honors. Las Vegas Events scheduled arena recognition during the first three performances, with banners and commemorative statues forming part of the presentation.
The announced sequence was Brazile on December 1, James on December 2 and Murray on December 3. That schedule connected three established careers with the opening nights of the finals.
Recognition is different from a competition award
The Icons program celebrated a body of work, not the winner of a new NFR round. Its honorees represented different disciplines and career paths, making the program a historical feature within an active championship event.
For readers researching a career, individual championship records should come from the association or Hall of Fame rather than from a promotional summary. For the event itself, the linked luncheon article explains the companion gathering. The announcement and the luncheon account document different stages of the inaugural program.
